Introduction
Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme

"Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme" (“the Scheme”) was first established in 2011. It is organised by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, and jointly sponsored and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR Government and HSBC.

The Scheme provides a series of tailor-made elite training to the outstanding local undergraduates in science-related, technology and medical disciplines, in order to encourage and nurture the young science talents for their contribution in the coming future.

Nominated by the university presidents and then selected by the Awardee Selection Committee with members from different sectors, 25 awardees receive HK$150,000 each to participate in a series of initiatives, including Overseas or Mainland Attachment Programme, Mentorship Programme, Local Internship Programme and Service Project Programme.

Moreover, an Alumni Association formed by the past awardees of the Scheme, becomes a platform to sustain these youth’s personal development and knowledge exchange. To be powered by their expertise in innovation and technology, members of the Alumni Association works together to serve the community and promote innovation and technology.
